sierra bonét (-beverly sumpter) is a screenwriter-film photographer based in atlanta, georgia.
born in detroit, mi and raised “around the thumb” of michigan. in 2020, she began teaching herself film photography with her sister’s canon ae-1. sierra’s photography focuses mainly on portraiture with a keen eye for intimacy and human connection. her ever-expanding portfolio also includes videography—working with local musicians + other film-related passion projects.
outside of photography, sierra is currently working towards her MFA in screenwriting - class of ‘26. sierra also has a background in film + commercial casting, marketing + advertising.
